Rivals.com rated him as a two-star prospect, yet the University of Cincinnati offered him a scholarship instead of Akron, Eastern Michigan, and Miami (OH). At left guard, Jason Travis was the Bearcats’ starting left-hander. He played tight end and quarterback out of the Wildcat formation in 11 games in 2008 after redshirting the previous year.
