Tyson tasted his first instances of fame when he formed the band named All-American Rejects along with his schoolmates back in 1999. The band primarily consisted of Tyson, Jesse Tabish, and Nick Wheeler.
He initially discovered the other bandmates after hearing them play at a gathering. They required a bassist, and he opted to contribute regardless of the knowledge that he had never driven a bass guitar before.
