Abra had always wanted to sing and perform which mostly was inspired by her time spent in their family church and seeing all the religious activities and devotion offered to God.
She picked up her chances of becoming a musician at the age of only 14 when she started taking lessons and learning Guitar. She was also influenced by her pastor turned rapper father to write and make her own music. Her father was also the owner and creator of the music label Awful Records. Abra in 2014 officially joined her dad’s label.
Abra released her first studio album, Rose in association with Awful Records and Ninja Tune (a record label based in London, UK) on 16th June, in the year 2015 (to be digitally downloaded and to be streamed online).
She released 12 songs in this album, titled as follows, Feel, Roses, U Kno, $hot (featuring Stalin Majesty), Fruit, Human, Game, Tonight, Pride, Lights Interlude (featuring Archibald SLIM), No Chill. The album was mostly in the hip-hop genre and the total length of it was 54 minutes and 34 seconds. The album was released on 6th October 2017 on Vinyl.
Abra released her first extended play in 2015. The extended play was named BLQ Velvet and was released on 19th January 2015 to be digitally downloaded and to be streamed online.
