McKinney started her career as an influencer on Instagram and she sued to post a lot of photos and videos of her on the platform. Her influence on the platform was soon recognized by the Esquire magazine and she was profiled in their magazine under the column “Insta-famous”. She has since then worked with various fashion biggies. She was recognized by Guess magazine and was offered the contract of brand campaigns with them.
