Rio Raj is an Indian actor and video jockey who primarily works in the Tamil film and television industry. He is known for her portraying Prank Star Shiva in the comedy-drama film “Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja” (2019), and Saravanan Veluchamy in Star Vijay’s series “Saravanan Meenatchi” Season 3 (2016) opposite Rachitha Mahalakshmi. He is the first Indian actor who wins three Filmfare awards.
Rio started his career as an actor with Star Vijay TV serial “Kana Kaanum Kalangal Kalloori Saalai” but later he turned to anchor at Sun Music as VJ. He has received many prestigious awards for his brilliant acting and anchoring skills in the industry. Recently he entered Bigg Boss Tamil 4 house as a contestant.

Career
Rio Raj started his career after the completion of his graduate course. He worked in many private companies for a few years before entering the entertainment industry.
In 2011, he made his acting debut with school life drama television serial “Kana Kaanum Kaalangal” as Guna’s friend which premiered on Star Vijay TV channel.
But later he turned into a video jockey with Sun Music and hosted many day-time shows such as Kaloorikalam, Free Ah Vidu and Suda Suda Chennai.
In 2016, he returned to the acting field with his appearance in the TV serial “Saravanan Meenatchi Season 3” (2016) opposite Rachitha Mahalakshmi.
After that, he participated in the dance reality show “Jodi Number One Season 9” (2016) as a contestant and emerged as 3rd runner-up.
In 2017, he hosted the television game show “Ready Steady Po” where teams of young and energetic people compete in exciting games to win big!. Since then he anchored many popular shows like Wife Kaila Life, Dancing Superstars, Bigg Boss 2 Fun Unlimited and 90s Kids vs 2k Kids.
